Our Program
Life Foundation started the native Hawaiian program to help native Hawaiian people living with HIV and AIDS. Rituals and practices are respected and part of giving healthcare to our people.

HIV Care
No matter who you are, no matter where you are from, if you live with HIV or AIDS, Life Foundation will provide free services to you on Oahu. To protect your privacy, a Life Foundation case manager will come to you, if you wish, and meet you in a safe place. Our office downtown is always open to you as well.

Case Management Services
A Life Foundation case manager can help you with: protecting your privacy; finding you a doctor and medical care; getting you medication and food; linking you to housing resources; connecting you to mental health services; applying for financial benefits such as Food Stamps and Social Security.

Counseling
Life Foundation offers a variety of counseling in the following ways: psychotherapy; support groups; prevention for positives; Kukula Ola Program; educational seminars.

Traditional Healing
Life Foundation's native Hawaiian program also provides traditional native Hawaiian healing practices, including lomilomi and ho'oponopono. Lomilomi is the manipulation and rebuilding of one's physical being. As practitioner and client, working as one spirit, we seek to restore mental and emotional balance. Similar to counseling, ho'oponopono strives to revitalize and maintain balance through prayer, discussion, confession, repentance, and ultimately restitution and forgiveness.

Every Life Foundation employee is sworn to protecting your confidentiality (privacy). We take it seriously and want to keep you safe. To make it easier, we can meet you at our office or other safe places like the beach, a park or your home.
