Michael Garcia currently works for Oceanic Time Warner as the Local Sales Manager where he expertly utilizes his 20 years of experience in the advertising industry. Michael is also familiar with tourism, automotive, health care, and non-profit industries.

Travis N. Gray
University of Hawaii Foundation

Travis is currently the Senior Director of Annual Programs and Campaign Operations for the University of Hawaii Foundation with which he helps manage its $250 million Centennial Campaign. Prior to joining the University of Hawaii Foundation in 2003, Travis helped fundraise at two private collages in New England. In all, Travis has 15 years of experience in higher-education fundraising.

Rev. Jeff Lilley - Vice President
Lutheran Church of Honolulu

Jeff has served as the pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America for nearly 20 years, and has served congregations in Kansas and Hawaii.

Dwayne Takeno - Treasurer
PKF Pacific Health

Dwayne has over fifteen years of audit experience. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Hawaii Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Better Business Bureau of Hawaii.

Nick Aiello
State of Hawaii Department of Education

Nick Aiello is a Licensed Social Worker who has spent the past 10 years working in the field, 5 1/2 of those years have been providing counseling to students with emotional and/or behavioral difficulties within the Department of Education at 3 Windward, Oahu elementary schools. Nick's experience includes working with various family court appointed counseling programs, residential treatment facilities for youth, as well as Intensive Learning Centers for adolescents identified as Emotionally Disturbed in Special Education. He has a strong passion for working with oppressed communities, and those in need of individual & group advocacy.

Clifford Chang
Pacific Islands Primary Care Association

Clifford Chang is Executive Director of the Pacific Islands Primary Care Association, which promotes and supports quality Pacific Islands primary health care for all member islands.

Linda Chang, MD
Professor of Medicine at University of Hawaii Manoa

Linda is a neurologist at the Queen's Medical Center and a Professor of Medicine at the John A. Burns School of Medicine at University of Hawaii. She has spent the last two decades studying the effects of HIV on the brains of individuals with HIV/AIDS, as well as the effects of substance abuse on the brain, both in HIV and non-HIV positive individuals.

Kamana'opono Crabbe, PhD.
Office of Hawaiian Affairs

Kamana'opono Crabbe Ph.D. received his doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the University of Hawai`i at Mānoa in 2002. He completed a pre-doctoral internship in clinical psychology and post-doctorate fellowship in behavioral medicine-health psychology at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawai`i from 2001-2003. His research interests have focused on the etiology of depression, particular syndromes of Hawaiian states of depressive illness, and implications of acculturative processes that influence cultural identity among Native Hawaiians. Additionally, he has a particular passion for cultural competency and social determinants as barriers to improved health and well-being in the Native Hawaiian community. Dr. Crabbe is a licensed Clinical Psychologist and the Research Director at the Office of Hawaiian Affairs. He is trained as a ho`oponopono practitioner and chanter in traditional cultural ceremonies and rituals.

Babette Galang
Papa Ola Lokahi

Babette is currently the Complementary Health Officer for Papa Ola Lokahi where she advocates for preservation and perpetuation of traditional Native Hawaiian healing practices. Babette also strives to improve the public’s awareness, sensitivity, and knowledge of Native Hawaiian cultural practices. Prior to Papa Ola Lokahi, Babette was the Health and Human Services Specialist at the Office of Hawaiian Affairs.

Kevin Kaneshiro
Vacations-Hawaii

Kevin Kaneshiro is the sales and promotions manager for Vacations-Hawaii and Boyd Gaming’s three downtown Las Vegas casinos: California, Fremont and the Main Street Station Hotels. Other activities include: former co-executive director of the Miss Vacations-Hawaii Scholarship Pageant, MDA Hawaii Soiree committee and promoter for Sheraton Waikiki’s Phoenix party.

Leanna Lui
State of Hawaii Judiciary, Family Court

Leanna Lui joined the Board of Directors in 2011, and currently works at the State of Hawaii Judiciary in family court.

Christine Yasuma

Christine Yasuma had more than 12 years expience in radio and has been a long-term supporter of Life Foundation, staring as a volunteer in 1999. She is also a current member/recipient of Strathmore’s Who’s Who Worldwide.

Kintaro Yonekura
University of Hawaii at Manoa, Masters in Social Work Program

Kintaro Yonekura is a long-time advocate of HIV/AIDS in Hawaii, and is currently getting his Masters in Social Work at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He has extensive experience working with youth in Hawaii, especially disadvantaged and foster care teens.

Kamalani Wilson
Desert Watch Security

Kamalani Wilson has been an active community volunteer, founding the LGBHawaii (Lesbian Gay Businesses of Hawaii) in 2009. His vision is to bridge the gap between LGBT communities and those who support them. In addition to his volunteer work, Kamalani is the Vice-President of Sales and Marketing for Desert Watch Security, a firm which provides security systems to both the residential and commercial markets. Kamalani always reminds himself of a quote by Mahatma Gandhi: “Be the CHANGE you want to see in the world!”
